• Tides & safety: Some areas are tidal or have strong currents. Always check local tide times and safety advice before setting out.
• Lifeguards: Cover is seasonal and not available at every beach — look for RNLI flags where present.
• Access & parking: Car parks can fill quickly in peak season; consider public transport where possible.
• Dogs: Many beaches have seasonal dog restrictions — check on-site signage.
• Cliffs & wildlife: Keep to paths, stay back from cliff edges and give wildlife space, especially during nesting and pupping seasons.
